Every settings page rebuilt around titled sections, scrobbling to as many services as you like at once, and a long run of music video, fullscreen and interface fixes.

Cider 4.0.24
A large interface pass, most of it aimed at one complaint: settings were hard to look around. Every page has been reorganised, and a number of controls that quietly did nothing have been fixed.
Settings, page by page 🗂️
All nine settings pages now group their rows into titled sections and cards instead of one long scroll.
- General now separates Language, Startup, Playback, Queue, Sleep Timer, Desktop, Privacy and Cache. The queue settings sit together for the first time, including the warning before a queue is overridden, which used to sit above the heading it belonged to.
- Connectivity separates Discord, Scrobbler, Community Ratings, Listening Parties, Cider Remote and External Applications. Community Atmos Ratings no longer sits under the Scrobbler heading, which it never had anything to do with.
- Advanced no longer keeps seven tenths of itself two clicks deep inside a Tweaks expansion. The fifteen groups that were nested in there are now sections in their own right, so a setting called Size or Style is under a heading that says what it belongs to.
- Audio leads with the live signal readout standing on its own, and output mode now sits with streaming quality.
- Lyrics, Accessibility and Playlist Rules are grouped the same way, and lyric animation settings now lead their section as their own tile.
- Settings search was measured before and after every one of these moves, so the reorganisation does not cost you the ability to find something by typing its name.
Scrobbling 🎧
- Cider now scrobbles to every service you have switched on. Previously only one connection was used even if several were set up.
- The scrobbler list was rebuilt: each service shows its own connection state, and signing out is a single control on the account line.
Music videos 📺
- Watch Music Video moved into the player chrome, where it belongs.
- A new song can play its music video after an interlude, instead of stalling.
- Fixed a reload loop that could leave the interlude cycling.
- When a pinned video variant fails its key exchange, playback falls back to a working one instead of failing outright.
- Discord and Last.fm now see the real track while a music video plays, rather than the video's own metadata.
Fullscreen 🖥️
- Fullscreen is escapable again. The desktop client owns the window state, so Escape and the window controls behave, and it is no longer possible to get stuck with no way out.
Fixes and polish ✨
- Button menus across the app were mounting but never opening, including the connected-device menu, the lyric scroll presets, the artwork actions and the sort controls on Charts and Discover More. All fixed.
- Tooltips had the same problem in thirty-nine places. They appear now.
- Lyrics uploads prompt you to create a contributor profile instead of failing silently.
- Duet background vocals in the sidebar collapse properly and take their own row.
- Fixed miniplayer contrast on bright artwork, and immersive action-button contrast against the blur wash.
- Playlist folders no longer truncate on large libraries.
- Album pages keep their scroll position across navigation, with a smoother entrance.
- Context menus no longer show a hairline scrollbar when every item already fits.
- Sidebar pin spacing evened out, queue info bar retoned, and corner radius tokens adopted across the app chrome.
- Signed update download URLs are no longer written to the production log.
- The desktop client stops presenting frames while hidden, locked, or with the display off, which is easier on battery.
